POLAROID 340 LAND CAMERA of 1969

The Polaroid Camera was invented in 1947 by Edwin Herbert Land (1909 - 1991)
Film for the Polaroid Cameras went out of production in 2007.
Film used was FP-3000B which is a negative positive peel apart flat pack system not on a roll as in earlier versions, where the developing is achieved by spreading the chemicals on the film through a roller when pulling it from the camera. Power is achieved by a battery that like the film was discontinued but, the film is now available from the Far East.

Edwin Land also invented the first inexpensive filters capable of polarizing light.

In the 1950's Land helped design the optics that went into the Lockhead U.2 Spy Plane.
