BUTTERSTAMP TELEPHONE, 1900's

So called because it is shaped like a butter stamp.
This early telephone instrument was used for transmitting and receiving.

  • These were first used in around 1878 up until 1890's. They are better know as wooden receiver. Butter Stamp receiver usually refer to the type/model before this one.
