• When the Walkman was launched in the U.K. At the dealers Radio Show , 3 young ladies Dressed as Can-can girls had Walkmans strapped to their fishnet clad thighs by garters and went around the assembled dealers cocking their legs for listen . Made no difference to the massive success of this unit and its successors and copies, but has stuck in my mind for some reason!

• This Walkman is from 1984, but the text says 1979 (a reference to when the whole Walkman thing came about).
