PYE LV30C TELEVISION, 1950 The Pye LV30C single channel Television (BBC only). Housed in a wooden cabinet and having 14 Mullard valves and a 9-inch CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) working from AC mains only requiring 50 c/s to receive the transmission correctly. A series of sets were produced known as BV30 and BV51 models, required for reception in the Birmingham area. First sold in June 1950 for £38.11s.8d PT extra.
