TWO STERLING 'PRIMAX' HOUSE PHONES U447, 1920's

Two Sterling 'Primax' internal or house Telephones one 15 extensions and one ten, a separate battery would have been needed to power these units it is unlikely that a mains power supply would have been available at the time when these were made. The Sterling Telephone & Electric Co Ltd started in 1899 until they were taken over by the Marconiphone Company in1926; they went on to make Sterling machine guns. See Item A0931 and A0955.
