'SOUND' A20 TAPE RECORDER of 1957

Sound Tape Recorders (Electronics) Ltd specialised in domestic recorders after the Second World War, the Model A20 was the first to use Collaro's new Tape Transcriptor Mk1V. It had Three Motors and was a Half-track three speed deck using up to Seven-inch spools. Using vacuum tubes, its complement was an ECC83, ECL82, an EM81 as a recording level indicator, on the top panel, and an EZ80 as a rectifier.
