MACHLETT ML7815 & ML8533 VALVES, 1970's

Machlett ML7815 & ML8533 are UHF Triode Lighthouse Valves of 1969 and 1970 respectively. The 7815 is for use up to 3 GHz, the envelope is Ceramic and is seen standing on its Anode, connections are Silver plated and would be used in a resonant coaxial cavity. Anode voltage up to 2500 Volts, and the heater, which is on the top, is 6 Volts at 1 Amp. Dated 1969 ML8533 is a pulse operated type as an oscillator or amplifier at up to 3 GHz can be used with up to 8000 Volts at the Anode at 150 Ma, the heater is 6.3 Volts at 1.3 Amps. This is of similar construction to the ML7815 but with fins over the Anode for cooling Dated 1970 and identical to 2C39. Both Valves were found sealed in airtight packaging and are unused. Dated 1970. Machlett were founded in 1897 and originally made X-Ray tubes branching out into Microwave equipment. Machlett is now a subsidiary of Raytheon.
