LANCASTER NAVIGATORS CHART TABLE PLOTTER, circa 1940

The chart table plotter would sit on the navigators map panel fixed to the left hand side by the hinges seen on the main slide on the right of the picture. A plastic rectangle could be turned to any angle and fixed by tightening the round knob above, this assembly, which could be moved across the map without the angle of the plastic rectangle being changed.
