MEDICAL COIL MADE BY K.SCHALL & SON, circa 1930

This unit was used to treat skin conditions such as excema or exema (sic), and dermatitis as well as other skin complaints.
A high voltage was produced by an induction coil run from small batteries which would be contained within the box, the patient would feel a tingling sensation when they passed the implements over the effected area.
This item can be compared with the modern day “TENS” machine.
The connecting leads to the electrodes are missing.

Donated by Stan Morrissey.
